譯至後四句，如再譯作“斯泰豐的吻”、“羅賓的吻”，便是死譯，當為譯者大忌。雖然大部分中文讀者對英語人名暗含的文化信息不甚了了，但他們對春情和秋意理應心有靈犀。於是變通一下，譯為“春之吻”和“秋之吻”。這樣既彌補了因中文無法譯出而流失原詩韻味的遺憾，又使行文多了變化，不致呆板。
