I quit running a long time ago. Indeed I don't want to have a knee replacement in the future. Pretty much everyone has knee problems after the army training. I used to like running when I was single because it can reduce the pain of loneliness and offer some dopamine. But after I got married and had three children I don't need that type of relief anymore, and I don't have time to run outside for hours in a row. It might be a good thing for me because it saves my knee. My husband has been in the Army too and he likes to complain about his knees even though he's only in his mid 40's. Many people we know that are retired from the military had their knees worn out, especially the airborne troops. Jumping and running are particularly bad for the kneecaps because of the constant pressure applied. Cartilage would break down. life is short and pain is long.
I'd rather save one cause of pain for old age because there will be many others coming.

謝謝無法弄妹妹的認同,隔空擁抱。至於跑步是否傷膝蓋,頗有爭議性的話題,能找到正反兩方的相關調研結論。目前為止,我的膝蓋沒有問題(knocking on wood)。若因為擔心跑步傷你的膝蓋,那就用其它的運動方式鍛練,祝運動鍛練快樂!
