今年六月大兒子大學畢業我們決定全家從波士頓開車去芝加哥參加他的畢業典禮然後一起開車出去轉悠轉悠。我查了一下地圖發現從芝加哥到黃石公園隻比到波士頓多400多英裏，心想不如加把勁就可以去夢想多年的黃石公園了。此想法一提出來就受到全家讚同。 於是我就開始信心滿滿的計劃the big trip了。在計劃的過程中才發現此行程真的很tough，期間就有點想打退堂鼓了，打電話和大兒子商量是不是可以改去加拿大的魁北克結果兒子很堅定的說隻想去黃石公園如果改去加拿大他就不去了。這年頭老爸老媽總是生怕巴結不上兒子。既然兒子發話了咱是無論如何要聽的。 這樣硬著頭皮也要去實施這偉大的黃石公園旅行計劃了。這樣一來二去就到了六月初了，趕快緊鑼密鼓地安排行程，到了六月十四日出發的前一天終於搞定了一個行程計劃（見附件 1）。 可是這天中午收到我老媽的電話說她也想去黃石公園。 問能不能飛到黃石公園附近然後我們去接她（ 我們本來想這個旅行太辛苦就沒有計劃帶她去）。這下問題來了看來她是真的很想去， 但我們的行程是不走回頭路的而且趕千裏路去接機也太不靠譜了。萬一路上有什麽情況不能按時趕到那老媽該怎麽辦。想來想去隻有一個辦法就是全家陪她坐飛機。這樣到了最後一分鍾我們要把整個計劃做一個很大的修正。當天晚上挑燈夜戰訂機票，租車，改旅館。天助我也，居然讓我找到不錯的deal， 5張芝加哥到丹佛往返機票加上9天SUV 一共1700 多 刀就 搞定了。一切就緒已經是夜裏兩點多了，雖然很累了但也鬆了一口氣7000英裏的行程縮短了2000英裏變5000英裏了（見附件 2）.一下輕鬆了許多。第二天 (15日)開始了我們的西部之行。
