"Fall Foliage"; "A Leaf on Feeling Sad in Autumn"

下麵兩首七絕是在美語壇玩詩歌接龍時寫的，現加了英文版。我的英文版詩歌一般不是對中文版的直接翻譯，而是結合了英文本身的特征及西方文化而重寫的。因為中英文都是自己寫的，才可以這麽做，如果是翻譯別人的作品，則應該忠實原著。

 

【七絕】秋葉

 

十月清風思邈邈，中秋霜葉意遲遲。

橙黃赤綠與青紫，猶勝春花掛滿枝。

 

Fall Foliage

 

October wind wanna go faraway.

Leaves of tree wanna stay.

Red yellow green and purple,

prettier than flowers in May.

 

【七絕】落葉談悲秋

 

人生四季皆相異，他者悲秋我恁知？

落地再回慈母側，登高複誦杜公詩。

 

A Leaf on Feeling Sad in Autumn

 

All men are created equal,

except what they have experienced.

I'm not in someone else's shoes,

nor in her sorrow

when it comes to autumn.

How do I know her reasons?

How can I judge her?

 

If I fall down, I'll gladly

return to Nature Mother's womb.

If wind blows me up and high,

I'll recite Du Fu's

Climbing the Heights,

trying to feel for him.
