If You Want Peace, Prepare For War.
When I first posted this proverb a while ago, it took me good seconds to comprehend. Now it makes immediate sense to me. I believe everybody does.
Origin of the proverb as follow:
This is the well-known saying Si vis pacem, para bellum translated into English means– if you want peace, prepare for war. Uttered by famous politicians since WWII to make the case for bloated military spending and questionable security and defense-oriented foreign policies, this often-cited Latin aphorism dates all the way back to Roman historian Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus in 4th century AD
