Translation exercise直擊心扉

I finished all the translation independently, without any assitance from those university students and Canadian friends. Thank you for reading and I will appreciate your constructive feedback! Good day! oops! I almost forget that I was a university student myself in Canada. My broken English is my second language and my Chinese expecially my Mandarin, sucks, so just thinking of this makes me feel frustrated.  Since I am slow and have no language talent I have to  work twice as hard or even harder.

 這是我今年參加的第三次相親，一坐下來媽媽便開始講起對麵那女孩的種種優點來
中心思想就是我必須娶她回家當老婆
我媽媽講完，對方的媽媽又開始向她女兒誇起我來
半個鍾頭過後兩位媽媽才互相打了一個眼色離開餐桌把我們兩人單獨留下
我和她靜靜對視了一分鍾“好久不見。”她先開口道。 

This is the third time I was set up on a blind date. As soon as I sat down my mom started to tell the girl on the other side of the table everything about my advantages. Her main idea was that I had to marry her, I had to bring her home to be my wife. Right after my mom finished hers, the girl's mom started to brag about her daughter. Finally,half an hour later the two moms blinked their eyes to each other and then left leaving us alone. My eyes met hers for a a minute, "long time no see" she opened her mouth first.

聽說她過的不好，他想去彌補
他去到了她的魚攤，她在刮鱗。邊上蹲著一個男娃，模樣有幾分像他，他心裏一震
她突然停下，指著隔壁攤的男人數落：你咋還不給孩子做飯呢！
他鬆了口氣，轉身走了。
她遞根煙給隔壁攤的男人：剛才不好意思。

7 years ago in order to go abroad, he broke up with his fiance. Now he is a successful man and he starts to feel regret about what he did to his ex-girlfriend. He hears that she is not living a good life, so he figures to compensate her. On his arrival at the fish booth where she belongs to, he sees her being busy with cleaning fish, and squatting next to her, is a little boy who somehow resembles him, so he is startled a bit. All of a sudden, she stops and points at the man in the next booth and complains:"you haven't cooked for the child yet?". He heaves a sigh of relief as he hears of this. After he turns away,she passes that man a cigarette and says:"Sorry about that just now."
