Yes, this is another update. I feel like that I need keep updating and let's see what will happen eventually. The person who claimed to help me did nothing to HELP, instead, he took over all the projects he thought he was interested and having good visibility. Then, all of the proejcts he took over either delayed, or failed, or cancelled, or delivered with mistakes. When the Marketers asked him why the #s were off, he said the process was wrong. So when people asked him why the process was wrong, he said the requirement was wrong. when people asked him why the requirement was wrong - the requirements all have gone through legal approval, he said it was the process wrong. Now all marketers are chasing him for files, results - due to his incapability, business missed the best marketing time period of July 4th, lost a lot potential revenue and new customers.
He started complaining that the bank (our partner) were not validate their reason of requesting review reports, blah, blah.
Good news, I finally talked to him, I am not comfortable of his yelling and screaming at me, also I need him to let me do my job. And when he asked me to send him a detailed list of my projects, I said, 'Thank you for your kind offering, but I am okay with my projects and I can handle it. Will let you know if I need your help."
During project meeting, when he questioned proejct value/process again, and claimed that he was trying to understand (over and over after the marketer answered many times), which made the meeting stuck, the lawyer and another director had to tell him if he had any questions or wanted to know more, they would be more than happy to set up separate meeting. Things like this happening every day, every hour - compliance manager had to repeatedly answered his question - why we need provide audit review to our bank.
Interesting person. Work life is fun with him, only if I am not directly handling him.
