My two cents are whether or not you may be able to build up a broader network in the company? Usually Chinese compatriots can serve as a good starting point of your network. If not, anyway to build a sound relationship with clients or other related parties who can provide adequate feedback on your performance and channel their opinion to the senior management without alerting your supervisor?
