Sorry I didn't mean to brag or tell a fiction when I mentioned the $300+K.
I am a senior professional in a very highly compensated technical area but in the past I never needed to deal with this kind of situations and that's why I thought I would look for some inputs here.
Frankly I had been quite happy with my compensation until I discovered the differences by accident. I tried in the past couple of days but could not 吞下這口氣. I am very good at what I do and find it hard to pretend that nothing happened and try to live with the knowledge that I am a "donor" in the compensation pool under my boss. Or I can somehow communicate or telegraph to him in a way that could persuade him that he should do something to make me happy. Things could be kind of ugly if I left because this would be seen as a major failure for my boss, and I will almost certainly become his enemy (which I don't care much about but it is always better to at least keep a superfacial kind of "'friendliness", because this is such a small circle).
Any insight would be appreciated.
