1. yes my boss and sr director both report to big boss
2. funding is for the new program and I was selected to lead this program. frankly I did not understand why they pick me. could be a politial game that my boss wants to control more resource.
3. the official reason is that sr. director will lead the second stage of this program if 1st stage works out. It is too early for him to get involved. The real reason is clear. He wants to control more resource too.

originally I thought the activity was to build trust among team members. But somehow it does appear to be focused on me. this makes me nervous.
I don't work well with people in this group and usually go outside of this group to find others to work with. I work well with collaborators. The feedbacks from collaborators are always super good. the ones from insdiers are terrible, just the opposite of the norm.
