該不該接受這個offer

我現在加拿大一事業單位研究所工作，工資不高但較清閑，也談不上非常穩定，因每年都有申請科研項目經費的壓力，不過相比企業要穩定一些，尤其當下經濟危機，加拿大公營機構受到的影響要小很多。

看著孩子們漸漸長大，總想趁著年輕多掙點錢，為自己也為孩子。最近通過麵世得到一個offer，在美國中部，工資相比當地消費還算很好。這是一個20幾人的小公司，研發項目有一定風險，但公司正在上升階段。

麵世時有一個老印，將是我的partner，其實我理解是兩個人有同樣的背景，幹一樣的活，隻是在項目中分工不同。此人所提問題非常刁鑽，處處下套。看得出此人有一定水平，但感到我加入後的威脅。在和其他人one on one的時候，提到之前也有一個老中幹這個活，後被layoff了。這個老印還是公司的元老之一。

我沒有和老印合作的經驗，但麵世之後感覺非常不爽，原不打算接受這個offer，在國內的時候就吃過人事關係的虧，但老婆說我膽子太小。
