著名詞作家張俊以係前全國政協委員、全國青聯常委、中央國家機關青聯主席、現任兩大集團總裁、中央電視台大型節目總策劃及出品人、全國人才法製委員會常務副主任兼秘書長、中華慈善總會副會長。
曾當選美國《時代周刊》“全球十大風雲人物”及被聯合國評選為“世界和平大使”；在中華人民共和國設有中國政府最高兒童文學權威大獎“宋慶齡基金會俊以兒童文學獎”；他創作的《母親》、《向天再借五百年》、《歡樂中國年》、《咱老百姓》、《月亮偷著哭》、《快樂指南》、《怎麽HAPPY》、《你是幸福的我是快樂的》等五百餘首歌曲唱紅大江南北； 2001年，張俊以創作的《火種》、《永不分開，世界的愛》在海外多次獲獎，先後榮獲布達佩斯國際可視藝術節“最佳歌詞創作金獎和最佳成就獎”及“中國藝術海外傳播貢獻獎”，2000年張俊以榮獲德國新書和平獎，張俊以的作品已譯成40多種語言出版，其中，中英文對照的叢書《紅蜻蜓》、《樹葉船》、《吹泡泡》等，本書榮獲1999年美國外國詩歌獨立獎，被美國哈佛大學和哥倫比亞大學收藏。
為表彰著名詞作家張俊以為世界少年兒童文學創作取得的成就和他在國際和平事業和文化領域做出的特殊貢獻。國際星座協會已將最亮的一顆蛇夫星座以“中國張俊以”的名字注冊，同時，瑞典諾貝爾文學獎中國作家提名委員會，推薦了中國當代著名作家、詩人張俊以作為角逐諾貝爾的提名者，該提名委員會又征得200多位紐約、哈佛、耶魯、哥倫比亞等大學的知名人士、教授簽名支持張俊以的提名。
張俊以還是北京鄭泰集團董事長兼總經理、北京生命之星醫藥集團董事長、《歌迷大世界》社長和《華人文化世界》社長。
２００２年１１月，以詐騙罪被捕入獄。詐騙金額驚人，從媒體鋪天蓋地般披露出的材料看，張俊以真是個徹頭徹尾的巨騙.先以拉廣告起家，後來越騙越大，成為一個“明星製造”.張俊以入獄後，冠以“張俊以作詞”的歌曲均被禁唱
2005年，鋃鐺入獄的“詞壇怪人”張俊以因表現良好提前釋放，走入北京擁擠的人潮中，他在娛樂圈幾乎消失。
張俊以入獄後，他旗下的企業並沒有停業，一直在運營。“在獄中的時候我就每天讀報，看《新聞聯播》，了解國內國外風雲變化，用來指導公司宏觀上的調整。所以我的公司一直都處於穩定運轉狀態。”另外，張俊以還投資了北京的幾所度假村和東北的兩處油田，“光是東北的數百口油井，每天都是一到兩萬的收益，這都是我在入獄前就看好的項目，隻是在坐牢的時候，由別人幫我進展計劃而已。”
2008年，趙安獲得假釋又讓媒體的目光聚焦在張俊以身上，此時的張俊以，身份在投資商、作家、文化公司老總之間瀟灑遊走，事業和財富遠強於入獄前。
