在飽受自己的失言造成的多方壓力下，莎朗-斯通(Sharon Stone)再次為自己早前對中國四川地震所發表的言論表示道歉，在周三(6月4日)發表的聲明中，莎朗-斯通表示：“最近有太多關於我在戛納電影節上那番言論的報道了。我希望通過我的這番發自內心的聲明來結束一些誤會。是的，我說錯話了，我對自己措辭失誤感到無比後悔，但那些話真的是無意的，我不想傷害任何人。整件事是我的心不在焉加新聞炒作造成的意外事故，我對四川的災民所受到的傷害深感難過。”
這是她最新的道歉聲明，上周，她曾簡短發表過類似言論：“我為自己對中國人民造成的傷害感到抱歉和傷心。”
這位曾出演《本能》的女明星，去年曾受邀前往上海國際電影節，但今年，上海國際電影節將其拒之門外。
以下為莎朗-斯通周三道歉原文："There have been numerous reports about what I said in Cannes. I would like to set the record straight about what I feel in my heart and end all of the misunderstandings. Yes, I misspoke. I could not be more regretful of that mistake. It was unintentional. I apologize, those words were never meant to be hurtful to anyone, they were an accident of my distraction and a product of news sensationalism. I am deeply saddened by the pain that this whole situation has caused the victims of the devastating earthquake in China."
