　　北京奧運會火炬接力將以“和諧之旅”為主題，以“點燃激情傳遞夢想”為口號，前往五大洲(國家、地區)的21個城市，並在境內31個省、自治區和直轄市傳遞，還將抵達世界最高峰――珠穆朗瑪峰。傳遞時間為130天，傳遞總裏程約13.7萬公裏。北京奧運會火炬接力將是奧運史上傳遞路線最長、傳遞範圍最廣、參與人數最多的一次火炬接力，將在奧林匹克運動史上譜寫輝煌的篇章......

　　據香港文匯報報道，楊千嬅是唯一一位香港演藝界代表負責澳門區的奧運聖火傳送的火炬跑手，她傳遞的是第16棒，於3日下午4時15分左右跑200米路程，千嬅接棒時精神抖擻，笑容滿臉，但她起步卻跑得太快，要由身旁的保安人員提醒她要跑慢一點。事後千嬅大讚是光宗耀祖。

　　

　　

　　

　　　　楊千嬅是澳門區火炬手代表之一，其父母也專程去為她打氣，可惜由於站錯了等候的位置，以致其父母看不到她拿著火炬一刻的跑姿，令兩老也感失望。

　　

　　　　千嬅表示接棒一刻心情相當興奮，而且百感交集，自覺似是瘋癲了一般，似當年港姐冠軍林良惠得獎時的興奮，但千嬅笑說：“我接棒後口裏隻顧不停地叫‘中國加油’，也想不到會跑得太快，隻聽到旁邊的人在叫我跑慢一點，跑完我都後悔自己跑得太快！”不過跑完後千嬅心情仍未平複，坐於小巴上還將頭伸出窗外向澳門市民揮手。

　　　　楊千嬅指日前她坐直升機到澳門去開會，晚上睡到淩晨5時突然紮醒，發覺出了一身冷汗，而臨跑之前還在想是否化妝好，最後隻化了個淡妝，但因天氣熱，她的妝最後也溶掉了。

　　

　　　　千嬅笑指：“本來我想戴頭箍免得頭發亂飛，可是發覺加上頭箍後，自己頭好大，成個小露寶一樣。”而香港區也是火炬手的陳奕迅，特意致電予千嬅，叫她“加油”外，也提醒她小心，不要絆倒，千嬅很感謝陳奕迅這麽有心。

　　

　　　　提到古巨基接上火炬時多次換手遭批評，千嬅則覺得可能當時基仔太過興奮而已。

　　　　有指楊千嬅是香港藝人，竟代表澳門傳遞火炬，身份有點不符？千嬅所知的是讚助商選出3個人讓奧委會挑選，而她能代表澳門，也是因她曾當過澳門傑青大使以及參與過東亞運動會的開幕禮。

　　

　　　　千嬅坦言這次當火炬手感覺著實很興奮，也覺得澳門人好熱情，所以感到好光榮。千嬅完成使命後會好好護送這支極具紀念性的火炬回家，她笑說：“坐船時我會一直保護著火炬。”至於火炬她準備擺放在家中大廳，因父母是傳統的人，感覺這次她是光宗耀祖。
