由美國服裝學院主辦的大型時裝秀前晚先在紐約舉行慈善派對，超過750位好萊塢巨星與時裝設計師亮相，當中以章子怡最惹人注目，因其無名指戴上巨型鑽戒，事實上，章子怡周日在三亞擔任奧運火炬手時，已被發現戴上此巨型鑽戒，翌日出席紐約慈善派對一樣戴著，已證明這“疑似婚戒”對她非常重要。
一年一度紐約時裝界盛事，章子怡跟富豪男友Vivi Nevo當然出席，其他矚目情侶包括湯姆·克魯斯伉儷、貝克漢姆（David
Beckham）夫婦，以及跟章子怡成立電影製作公司的傳媒大亨默多克太太鄧文迪等，可謂星光燦爛。
