與往年相比，今年“星姐”更顯名副其實。因為不少已經涉足演藝圈並有多部作品麵世的演員、模特等紛紛報名參賽，使星姐選舉還未開始現場便已經星光熠熠，倍加耀眼。

此次共有2735人報名參加絕版星姐選秀，經過20天的初選，200多名佳麗從中脫穎而出，獲得參加複賽的資格。昨天，這些佳麗通過泳裝走秀等環節比拚，產生出入圍下一輪比賽的24強。在這些選手中，有不少佳麗早已擁有豐富的表演經曆，如黃露頤、楊佳、童童，她們分別與劉德華、謝霆鋒、王寶強等優秀男演員有過合作經曆，吸引了不少媒體關注。
