Former U. S. President John F. Kennedy's winter home, also called as the Winter White House, is located at 1095 N. Ocean Blvd, Palm Beach, FL, which is 20 miles driving from my home in Wellington.

This house was designed by architect Addison Mizner, this house was built in 1923 for Philadelphia department store founder Rodman Wanamaker II. The 9300 squre-foot home was bought by Joseph P. kennedy in 1933and was known as the Winter White House when JFK was presendent.

Teddy slept here: Although it is now in different hands, the Kennedys' former Palm Beach estate will always be known as "The Winter White House."

The kennedy family sold the house in May 2005 to New York boyout specialist John Castle for 44.9 million.

The fact that the house was La Guerida, the famous Kennedy family estate that became known during John F. Kennedy's administration as "The Winter White House," had something to do with it. The house where Joe and Rose Kennedy watched their son's election returns, and where President Kennedy spent his last weekend alive, had landmark status. That prevented Castle from doing any major work on it.
