篇三十三：秋收季節開始 Honey Mushroom 之一 （蜜環菌一）

北維州的秋收季節開始了。第一個標誌就是Honey Mushroom 。中文的蜜字還是可以的。

人們可能不知道，Armillaria ostoyae, commonly known as the honey mushroom, is bigger than both animals and is considered the largest and oldest organism on Earth（是世界上最大和最古老的生物）. The mushroom covers 3,726563 m² of Malheur National Forest, Oregon, and is estimated to be around 8,650 years old (3.7 平方公裏大，8650年老）. 就在Oregon州的 Malheur 國家森林中。

Honey 基本上有三種。本文隻講第一種，也是最早出現的honey： Ring less Hoeny。（Armillaria tabescens）它是沒有veil 和 ring的 （無環）所以中文的 蜜字還是不錯的，環字就不行了。這種隻能叫 無環蜜菌。
