The West made China one of the markets for Western industry through the Opium War in 1840. So the West needs the market of China. For a century, China had been attached to the world economy dominated by Western powers. In 1949, Mao still wants China to be in the world economy, but with Chinese people control their position in the world economy. The West wouldn’t allow that to happen, so they blockaded China. China sided with the Soviets. Soon China would like to be independent and not an attachment to the Soviet bloc. Soviet blockaded China also. China will not sacrifice its dignity to join the world economy. China developed nuclear weapons and satellites by self-reliance. You see, China already went through isolation for a period of time. China is not fear to cut off from America. It is western powers need the China market since 1840.

China today is the powerhouse of the world economy. China contributes the most to the growth of the world economy. Although China’s GDP is far behind the US, China creates wealth for the world economy the most.

The US is forcing the world to cut off from China. Nations in the world are facing a crossroads due to US geopolitics. Each nation has to choose to follow the declining power of America or the rising power of China. China represents the future. China represents peace. China is seeking a relationship with the US based on mutual respect, no confrontation, and no conflict, yet the US refuses such a relationship. Any country whose fantasy of profiting from the conflict between the US and China will suffer. The US is launching a trade war with China. Whoever steps into the battlefield will get hurt.

The best choice for other countries is to play down ideology and focus on economic development. Globalization is the result of the information revolution. China adapts to globalization well, while the US cannot adapt to it. Cutting off from China is the modern Luddites. Joining the US to cut off from China is joining a modern Luddites Movement. Joining China is joining technological advancement.

Yes, the West is still advanced in technology and innovations, yet, they cannot handle the advancement of technologies. 2008 financial tsunami is due to information advancement. For the West, any innovation today is disruptive innovation. Only China can embrace technological innovations.

The COVID pandemic already put most countries into colossal debt and deep economic recession. For many countries, joining China’s BRI is the only way to pull out of recession and pay the debt.

The US cannot prevent China from rising. After exhausting all other alternatives, America will finally accept the fact that China is an equal power in the international arena. More countries joining the US will make the world risky to war. More countries joining China will make the world more peaceful.

If we want to recover from the recession, don’t play ideology in world politics but focus on economic development. Be Humanity. Mutual respect and win-win cooperation should be the norm in international relations.
