願賭服輸--大選後的思考

那英有一首歌叫“願賭服輸“，唱得蕩氣回腸。我覺得“願賭服輸”這四個字，很好地表達了大選後我的心情。

Clinton 的總統競選失敗和民主黨參眾兩院的全軍覆沒，值得每一個democrat 進行深刻反思。

從整體來說，Clinton是一個weak candidate, 代表status quo，很多baggage. 如果民主黨從一開始就讓Bernie Sanders 和 Joe Biden公平競選，也許今天的結果就會不同。然而民主黨和Clinton對Sanders 無論從辯論，題目，媒體控製還是到最後選舉的不公平對待，激怒了很多democrats, 最後導致millions of democrats 棄選。 I strongly believe, because of the Democratic Party's cherry pick of Hilary Clinton, 民主黨自己擊敗了自己。 This election in my eyes, is nothing about Trump, but a referendum to Hilary Clinton and the Democratic Party.

她的問題：character issues, 她與Wall Street 的cozy 關係，Clinton Foundation 的外國資金來源問題，她的failure to take responsibility for Benghazi attack, 她的email issue, 她的elite status ( calling Trump supporters deplorable), 她的transparency issue 包括她本人的健康問題，等等。

However, 我一直identify自己是個liberal, a democrat, 曾經在2008和2012年狂熱支持Obama（雖然當時還沒有選舉權），讚同他和她的很多政治主張，包括tax reform, education, global warming, immigration, universal healthcare, human rights, abortion 等。雖然擔心她在Iraq, Egypt, Libya 和Syria 的強硬而危險的中東政策，而且一度考慮放棄選舉，但最後以黨派為重，我和我先生還是投票選了她。

美國的民主在於，vote決定一切，高於一切，不管被選之人是皇孫貴族還是平民百姓, 也不管您喜不喜歡。it's a fair game, it's democracy. 

Clinton 在她的concession speech 中說：

Our constitutional democracy enshrines the peaceful transfer of power and we don't just respect that, we cherish it. It also enshrines other things; the rule of law, the principle that we are all equal in rights and dignity, freedom of worship and expression. We respect and cherish these values too and we must defend them.

並且說：We owe him(Trump) an open mind and the chance to lead.

Out of respect and grace, 我願賭服輸。

川普贏了代表了很多人的聲音，民主黨人是時候聽聽那些人的話了，美國人民很聰明不會讓一黨獨裁而要百家爭鳴。

坐看他砌高牆，坐看他減大稅，坐看他驅虎狼之師逐千萬非法移民。播種仇恨，必定收獲仇恨。潘多拉的盒子已經打開。接下來的四年，將是對美國民主體製的一個考驗。
