什麽是【美語世界】? 美式英語 or 英式英語?

什麽是【美語世界】? 美式英語 or 英式英語? By TJKCB

I did not click on 【美語世界】 until a friend told me that it's for English, as I was mistaken "美語" as beautiful language. I decided to stay away from any claimed "beautiful language" - not direct, not specific languages, as those precious words have been reserved for the self-amusement of Ivory Tower's knights. I've been preaching "Plain English" – simple, small words, down-to-the-earth-kind for the ordinary people. For example, I have advocated the hybrid language of your native tongue and acquired the second language. Of course, the hybrid language includes 美式英語 and 英式英語. Can you tell the difference between 美式英語 and 英式英語? Here, in 文學城, aren't we practice 美式英語 or 英式英語, or the mixture of both?

     I can not help but notice that the majority of the audience in 【美語世界】are fluently speaking《新概念英語》（英語：New Concept English）

More importantly, "Longman's New Concept English by L. G. Alexander is a popular English language textbook teaching the British rules of English. The course was first published on October 30, 1967.

"New Concept English (1967) has been described as "a breath of fresh air" in which the author, L. G. Alexander, utilised "a syllabus as a foundation for effective learning" and organised "the language in ways which students - and their teachers - found immensely stimulating."

A revised edition, which was "specifically prepared for Chinese learners," came out in 1997." So, 1997年由外語教學與研究出版社和培生教育出版中國有限公司聯合出版的一套英語教材。As 經典的英語學習教材, 編著者路易斯·喬治·亞曆山大 (Textbook by L. G. Alexander and Peter H. Stoldt)，由朗文公司（Longman group）出版,共分四本.

Going back to my original inquiry, what's about【美語世界】? Is it 美式英語 and 英式英語? Does 【美語世界】teach the British rules of English or American rules of English? If 【美語世界】teaches the British rules of English and American rules of English both, don't you think it should be called  【英語世界】? 【英語世界】will attract someone like me in the beginning. What is your thought?
