1.1 普通工具
socket： Costco Crescent 211pc tool box，含 1/4”,3/8”,1/2”ratchet，質量湊合，長度不足，有塑料把也沒法接長，不大夠用。最常用的sokcet是10/12/14mm。Camshaft 17mm，輪胎19/21mm，Crankshaft 22mm。211pc除缺六角22mm crankshaft bolt套筒外都有。
1.2 補充工具
1/2 25" breaker bar, 加長用1"水管。Floor Jack, Jack stands.
Reflect mirror，flex head ratchet 1/4-3/8-1/2頭的都能有幫助，但我沒用到。
matric hex bit (above) 5/8/10mm (5mm隻用來拆GS300 timing belt蓋，但上圖3/8的頭子太大了夠不著，8mm拆manifold，10mm拆Sienna水泵）
Torque wrench: 通常是3把，大的50-250ftlbs用於crankshaft pulley螺栓，中的30-150或30-80ftlbs常用於輪胎或機油箱螺栓，小的20-200inlbs修車手冊裏也有用，比如換timing belt。Sienna/GS300曲軸螺栓上緊力矩分別是162/239ftlbs，後者即便拆掉水箱空間也受限。我買了但幹活時隻是當ratchet用了，力矩全憑手感。水泵的gasket就是軟金屬片，內圈邊沿塗覆gasket maker很薄，69ftLBf。Crankshaft bolt擰緊是用Ryobi P261(300ftlbs) impact wrench。
這裏還有一個竅門，拆water pump pulley(4x10mm)無需開口4.25吋的channel lock plier，可用一螺絲刀借助其中兩螺絲別住，另一把依次鬆開4個螺絲。

bolt puller: 下圖左-用來拆crankshaft帶輪，必需。下圖2-Torx bit E8用來拆Sienna固定水泵的兩個長螺杆，但總是滑絲而非卸下。建議不用E8而用兩個螺母完全套上，固定上麵的擰下麵的螺母來吧螺杆卸下：https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeuLagTCBsw#t=12m0s 不行的話租autozone的27140 stud remover。下圖3-4 - cam locking tool僅適用直列引擎，圖4用建築螺杆連接螺母似可DIY，尚未用到。

1.5"水管法蘭（HD)，加鑽兩孔用M8x40固定到帶輪上，5x25x900mm鐵條鑽兩孔M8x35固定到法蘭上，螺絲必須擰緊。若發現螺絲帽彎曲須立即更換檢查結構。我第一次沒用法蘭，結果M8斷在其中。這時可試用: Get a chain wrench and some thick rubber tubing from the auto parts store.Slice the tubing down the middle, and slide it over the chain then zip tie the ends. ...實際上因HD鐵條軟，我的不成功。
A general scheduled maintenance plan is:
.Each time during drive pay attention to engine lights, temperature and other warnings
。Each month do a basic check, tire pressure, oil/coolant level, any leakage, all lights；
.12Kmiles/each year change engine oil/oil filter, clean cabin filter
.30Kmiles replace engine air/cabin air/aircon filter, check break pads/rotor

3. torque wrench（力矩扳手）

車用力矩扳手大概有這幾種：
1. 固定力矩如80ftlbf的外形像socket extension但到指定力矩時它的杆子會扭曲。用於輪胎很方便。
2. 手動，指示器是扇麵，沒法預定力矩，用時可能看不清刻度。
3. 千分尺形式，尾部有力矩調整螺帽，用到指定力矩時它“click”，這是最常用的，一般精度+-4%，但是力矩越小聲音越小，8ftlbs可能聽不到。
4. 數顯的，包括（3）的改進型，或為轉接盒方式，後者用於校準很方便，一般精度+-2%
力矩扳手通常在刻度的20%，60%和100%處校準。
最便宜的harbor的力矩扳手的標稱和筆者建議使用範圍是：1/2“(20-150ftlbf,use 45-150)，3/8"(5-80,use 15-80), 1/4(20-200inlbf=>1.67-16.7ftlbf)，似乎隻有第一把好用。snap on和IR是最好的扳手了就是貴。

注意誤差也是加倍的，上麵是DIY的，但也許用個固定扳手就可以了。
可以利用一般的wnrech加上校準表代替torque wrench,當然你得看著表做，範圍限於29.5-147.5ftlbs

氣動的都要球空壓機輸出6+ CFM@90PSI，要買的話一定要及時測驗。前幾年價廉物美的就是Aircat 1150: 1/2" 200-1295ftlbs, Amazon可到160刀以內，但現在是中國造。還有Aircat 1000(800 ftlbs),Aircat 1404(700), IR231C(舊450新600 , tooltopia）,IR2317G/IR231G (550 ftlbs)/2135(780)。實測（Dynamic torque?) IR2135 391-410，Aircat 1000TH 446， 1200K 568。Harbor的EarthQuake XT的Loosen Torque是1000ftlb（static torque，dynamic torque在正裝時是275/325/450，鬆開是301/346/465）,與Snap-on MG725同檔：https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MDjgY8Vwgo 這是我推薦的一款，氣壓機要求較低，7.25“長。另一款是Aircat 1295-XL，6.62”長。

5. Crankshaft/camshaft bolt loose/tighten

Toyota/Lexus的曲軸帶輪都是順時鍾轉，Honda有逆的。順時鍾轉的意思是螺栓是常用正螺紋，即逆時鍾為鬆開。如果將22mm套筒扳手卡在帶輪右側地上，發動機點一下火-時間越短越好，即扳手不動，帶輪順時鍾轉，該螺栓即可鬆開。大螺栓鬆不開不用拆別的了。

Costco 左：Crescent 211pc tool box - 我的就是這個；左中：Kirkland Signiture 159 前者有鉗子和火花塞套筒，但Rachet包膠不便加延長杆，有的套筒隻有12角的；後者看來好些但沒用過。中右：Dewalt 204pcs，右：FlexHead5ocs
接頭：Harbor的校正器含1/2至3/8和1/4接頭。Lowes/HD也有些工具如10mm socket換ATF用，1/2“-22mm給曲軸的那個大螺絲用。Harbor的接杆也有幫助，但flex head我後來買了一個3/8的。

有膠泥膠帶等，有適合不同用途的許多類型，粘鐵、銅、鋁、木、塑料（除PO等）、瓷器的都不同，但也有通用的。膠泥是管裝，內管為幹燥劑，用時切下一塊，手捏充分混合後立即使用。比如aquamend可以在水下粘瓷器，FasMetal epoxy可修補空調線圈泄漏，Amazon約50刀。

DIY polyurethane bushing

9. Jack/Jackstands
9.1 Powerbuilt 3 Ton, Bottle Jack and Jack Stands in One修理：
1）換O-ring換油放氣
取下上部橡膠塞，倒出液壓油hydraulic oil；
拆下釋放閥，使用磁鐵吸出與釋放閥下方齊平的鋼球，妥善保存；
從釋放閥上取下O形圈並使用新的 0.05mm-0.1 厚的密封圈；
將鋼球準確插入閥座中央，裝回並擰緊。
重新加注新的液壓油至加油孔溢出為止，放回橡膠塞。
空載，打開釋放閥，手提到最大高度，關閉閥，加壓，約能壓下一半。
2）排空
泵到最大高度，再泵10-15次；總共可能要50次；
打開釋放閥，當千斤頂下降時，繼續泵；降到最低時，再泵10-15次。
3）重複排空3次。
4）加載，重複排空。
9.2 Harbor 20ton, 56736
1）放氣：每次用前逆時針轉釋放閥螺絲-不超過兩圈，然後泵5次，打開注油塞看，油量是注到流出。
2）降低：逆時針轉釋放閥螺絲-不超過兩圈，然後手按下鞍座。如果不行，可以先升高一點然後重複上述步驟。
問題：可能要等一會才能用力壓下使其降低。
9.3 Jackstands
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6ufAL5R0mg Husky(7Lb 17.5")、Arcan、TCE是比較好的而且接地麵積較大。再柏油路麵使用時，jack/jackstands都要加1/2膠合板6墊，jack的膠合板上還加有16x16x13 gauge鐵板，因為在支起過程中jack的輪子是移動的。
