說說共和黨總統候選人， 前眾議院議長 Newt Gingrich

昨天晚上看的電視辯論， 挺有意思的， 這裏想說一個方麵的情況， 就是在主持人提那個 family value， 還有 faith 的問題的時候的情況。

得克薩斯州州長在回答這個問題的時候說這個方麵的 character 是非常重要的， 一個 cheat 過 spouse 的總統候選人可能也會 cheat 他的 business partner 的。
其他候選人基本上也是差不多的觀點， 認為這方麵的品德對一個總統來說也是重要的。

輪到金李奇的時候， 他就實話實說了， 說自己以前有過這個方麵的過錯，也請求過 God 在這個方麵幫助過他等等。

電視上也有他現在太太的畫麵出來， 剛剛一看是一個相當漂亮， 優雅的女人。 當時覺得如果年紀跟金李奇相當的話， 那麽他太太算是保養的非常好的一個女人。

記起來以前也聽說過他在這個方麵的情況， 但是去 search 了一下還是有點 shock， 這個哥們還是挺有故事的：

上麵可以看出他的後麵兩次結婚都是在離婚的當年就進行了的。


第一個太太是他中學裏的地理老師， 在他 19 歲的時候結婚的， 太太當時是 26 歲。 他們生了兩個女兒。

1980 年的時候，金李奇在有婚外情以後跟第一個太太離婚了。 6個月後又結婚了。

Six months after the divorce from Battley was final, Gingrich wed Marianne Ginther in 1981

1993 開始, 金李奇開始跟一個比他小 23 歲的國會女工作人員（也就是他現在的太太）有婚外情。 這個過程一直持續到 2000 年他離婚為止。
有意思的是他自己的婚外情在進行的時候他正在領導對當時的克林頓總統跟白宮實習生陸文斯基醜聞的調查。


In the mid-1990s, Gingrich began an affair with House of Representatives staffer Callista Bisek, who is 23 years his junior. They continued their affair during the Lewinsky scandal, when Gingrich became a leader of the investigation of President Clinton for perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with his alleged affairs.[3] In 2000, Gingrich married Bisek shortly after his divorce from second wife Ginther.

還有他的 faith 方麵， 他原來是一個 Baptist， 後來跟現在的太太結婚後， converted to Roman Catholic 了。
