摘自醫生指南: 抑鬱症的自我評估,簡單易行又可靠 in primary care setting. 不須 further confirmation. 看在俺一個字一個子打進博克的份上,請大家都來做個自我鑒定。我沒有翻成中文,以免破壞原文的精確性。

請注意:男女抑鬱症表現不同,自我 coping 方法也不同:

男性傾向於疲勞,易怒,對以往感興趣的事失去興趣,睡眠障礙,而女性則易有 feelings of sadness, worthlessness and/or excessive guilt.

男人抑鬱時,用
alcohol or drugs 尋求安慰or become frustrated, discouraged, irritable, angry and sometimes abusive;一些男人工作更加投入來避免向朋友和家人談起或免於被人發現他們的症狀;有些男人 engage in reckless, risky behavior。就像大家說的,幹點什麽壞事心裏就平衡了。

抑鬱症絕對不是富貴病。美國人
disability的最重要原因就是抑鬱症。我們在美國的中國人謀生如此艱難,又有文化隔離,對心理障礙的認識不夠,沒有得到診斷和治療的抑鬱症多了去了。

輕中度抑鬱症最好的治療是心理治療psychotherapy)心理治療包括兩種cognitive–behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy (IPT)
