A good rebound brighten the market, suddenly, a ray of light is shining through the darkness, but whether that is the light from the end of the tunnel, or a flash from under below, it is still too earlier to be certain.
To be fair, there are good reasons as why the market is rebounding today.
WMT annouced a good earning and a rosy holiday picture, that at least alleviate some concerns of the consumer spending.
GS said that they have no write downs, and JPM said they are fine with their CDOs. that helped beaten down financials.
Even housing sector has some good news too, that Sale of September is up..
No wonder, the sectors suffered most have the best showing today..
However, the volumn was pitiful. If you look back to the rallies after FED cuts, the volumn swelled when the market was up. So, how many bought today are truely buyers and not short covers?
For those who thought that they missed boat today need not worry:
1). Even if market reverse to go higher, there are still 700 points for DOW to cover before it reach 14000.
2). it is far from certain that one day\'s gain make a trend, what is important now is the follow up. Between now and the follow up, there will be some down days as well and the buying opportunities will present themselves.
Next few days, we will see data concerning inflation. if we can get some help from inflation front, maybe we will see this market push higher, otherwise, today\'s bounce is just a pause in a long choppy market
