四月中旬，鬆花江開始解凍，人們聚集在岸邊，觀看大塊的冰塊在墨綠色的江水中破裂、漂流。 十幾歲的男孩手裏拿著籃子，在浮冰上踩來跳去，撿起被春季洪流衝下的冰塊殺死的梭子魚、白鮭魚、鯉魚、小鱘魚和鯰魚。 仍在碼頭上的汽船一次又一次地鳴響喇叭。

 In the middle of  April, the SongHua river began to melt. People gathered on the bank, watching big chunk of ice in the dark green water breaking into pieces,  swifting  away. The boys in their tenth carried a basket in their hands, steping and leaping between floating ice, picking up the fish which were killed by the ices floating along the spring torrent, like Baracuda, White fish, Carp, small Sturgeon and Catfish. The Steamboats which were still docked on the pier horned repeatly
