Ironman has released the updated 2024 Competition Rules and has banned the practice of placing a water bottle down the front of an athlete’s race suit for an aerodynamic advantage.
Here’s the wording Ironman has presented around the “water bottle/ hydration system down the front of the suit” trick: additional equipment that has the effect of reducing wind resistance is prohibited during the bike segment of the Race (whether such equipment is worn under the athlete’s clothing, over the athlete’s clothing, or is otherwise attached to the athlete’s body or the athlete’s bike). This includes, but is not limited to, (i) any bottles/hydration or any other insert located in the front of an athlete’s race suit and (ii) any insert in an athlete’s calf sleeves; (DSQ)
騎車aero姿勢的時候，肚子那裏大出來有顯而易見的aero效果，所以ironman提出了禁止選手們在衣服裏塞水瓶子的行為，認為這個是作弊。
所以環法的自行車手們仍然可以在肚子裏塞東西，ironman就不行，暈。。。
pro們都在操心怎麽把肚子搞大，我那天卻被羽絨服mm說裙子大了，我這個人粗枝大葉也不是很注意這些，今天仔細看看確實噢。
