I'm 5'11" and overweight. When I was playing street pick up basketball, many female colleagues can back me down, let alone those muscle men. If you are not convinced, go check out a community ball games, let alone those college or professional levels.
Many years ago, 王小波's younger brother was waiting for a bus when his car broke down in city of Detroit. A 17-year old African American teenager was approaching him for quarters. Brother Wang didn't react properly, instead getting into fight with that teenager. Within seconds, he was stabbed to death. What if he had the gun? It couldn't be worse than what actually happened.
Just FYI, that teenager got lifetime sentence without parole. Like other 17-18 states, Michigan don't have death penalty.
