Me too. My besement ceiling paint has peeling!

It peeling from one spot and has been getting bigger and bigger. I got a handyman opened it up and thought there was a leak up there but nothing was leaking. So I had it sealed back. The handyman charged me 4 hours of labor fee including going to home depot but was stuck on the load due to traffic. Total $340 for just opening and sealing the drywall.

And I am still not sure why that spot is wet. There were multipple water pipes going thru there but they were all dry. But the drywall at that place was wet. Strange!!
