We pay 0.5% - 8% property tax, location dependent. My current average property tax is lower than 0.5%, because in developed area. For example, one of my buildings was appraised at 750K, the county assessor office recorded it this year 160K. the adjust factor is 1.00. The tax rate is 1%. I paid 160K*1.00*1% = 1600. The market tax rate is 1600/750K = 0.213%. Not as simple as the tax rate shows, say 1% in this case.
