You probably have missed the best time window for damage control

For severe water damage, you have to remove visible water, remove wet sheetrock and wet carpet. Then keep the temperature at 90 degree, turn ac vent on, and rent blower from home depot to blow wet area dry. If water is trapped behind sheetrock you cannot blow it dry. Mold will grow from stud. Ceiling fan and open window is too kindergarten. If you do not know how to handle it, you really should have hired some professional water damage control company to handle that.
