you can choose not to play the game or you think that you can overcome the spread or you play the game for the different goal than what other people think. For example, online texas hold'em. The dealer takes 5% cut. On average, everyone is a loser. I play it because I can beat this odds and win constantly. Other people play it for entertainment. They consider the money is the cost for the enjoyment. If you know what you are doing and what you are getting. Nobody is a loser. Making more money is not your life and happiness.
