As far as the size, it all depends on where.

2,100 sqft is regarded as "tiny" in Texas, but reasonably "big" in CA.

Enough for a family of 3.

On the other hand, 30 minutes commuting is not that bad.

As far as lot size, 9800 sqft is large, but not huge. (My lot is twice big).

Hire somebody to do the yard work is an option.

You didn't talk about lot location and floor plan for the houses.

To me, these are very important. Any lot with greenbelt? good trees? Safe & quiet cove street?

Open floor plan? Kitchen & bath? Bright and airy?  High ceiling? Good size rooms?... Nice or awkward staircase?  There are many factors to look at.

Above all, which one you feel more like "home"?
