Here are some information that might help you verify if you have any leaks: You can use your meter as a leak indicator. Look at it when no water is being used in the home, is it moving? Also, take a read before bed (all the #’s), don’t use any water in the night then take a read when you wake up. If there’s a change you have a leak. Things that may cause high use: Irrigation – 3 gallons (average) per head per minute or a leak in the system Back Up Water Forced Sump Pump – is your basement finished. Toilets –do the dye test (change the color of the water in tank let set 15-20 minutes, if it runs to toilet bowl on its own, your seal is eroding). Humidifiers Breaks in water lines on refrigerators or dishwasher.
