nobody can direct traffic from first minute!

players need time to adjust to the game, ie, finding the rhythm. you can't expect him to shine like a PG if you have assigned him to be a shooting specialist at the beginning of the game. are you saying a player can shine with a mindset that i am playing against my coach's game plan?!
