SONNET 25 十四行詩 第25首 
莎士比亞

讓那些被他們的星辰寵愛的人們，
誇說其公開的榮耀和得意的稱號，
而我，被命運阻攔無法得此勝利，
在不被注目的快樂中我最以為傲。

王子的紅人們舒展其葉如此嬌好
但象在太陽巨眼下的那棵金盞草，
他們的驕傲與自身一同埋入地表
因為眉頭一皺他們便光榮地死掉。

那個痛苦的戰士因為戰鬥而聞名，
在一千次勝利之後一旦功敗垂成，
他將被從榮名冊中抹去不留跡痕，
並因他失敗，一切都被忘得幹淨：

因此愛人並被愛的我，多麽幸福
因我不會抹除人，也不會被抹去。

Of public honour and proud titles boast, 
Whilst I, whom fortune of such triumph bars, 
Unlook'd for joy in that I honour most. 
Great princes' favourites their fair leaves spread

Is from the book of honour razed quite,
