Fading memories of mine,
along the time gone by,
And yet, for reasons unknown
that it's hard to forget
the moment we met,
and said, the day,
"so long, my friend, and goodbye."
A young man from the other town far, far away,
speaking a language there by many,
And yet a few it here who can say.
Had traveled the land and crossed the sea,
He was venturous and ambitious that one could be.
The golden oldies, suddenly, turned to new and strange,
And yet the bitter winter day remained as cold as it used to be.
A greeting was warm from thee,
"Welcome, My friend"
Inside the house,
We then had hot tea!
Bostonian's accent of yours impressive it was to me,
Reminds the songs in "Cheers",
Or baseball back in Fenway,
Sox vs New York team of Yankees.
Time to pick up colorful leaves, my friend,
because it is the end of fall, Please keep them carefully
between the pages of a books, as all we did before, right now,
We shall then have more time together,
And read them all!
