it only forbids the insurance company from refusing coverage, the cost of it will come from either other people buying insurance at higher cost, or from the government (from taxing people, like parking ticket. Don't you prefer there is no parking ticket?). In the end, if the government cannot afford, it will tell the doctor not to save you (like in Britain, the government tells who is too old to be saved), that is a lot of power to the government.
I know in Massachusetts, at the tax return time, you have to tell on the return whether you have medical insurance, or you will be fined. That is pain.
Once the government takes away something, you will never get it back.
Nobody can solve the cost problem, only the market can. The current medicare/medicaid is driving the cost high by the amount of abuse involved.
