You either buy health care or force somebody pay for you.

If you can't afford, the justified way is to ask for help and apply for assistance, not just simply don't buy. because when catostrophe happens your cost will have to be paid by others. Unlike other things, everybody dies and everybody, soon or later, will get terminal illness that will cost a good fortune. If you do not pay, others' have to pay for you.
