今天我們要學的詞是cold turkey。

星期四是感恩節，我們也來說火雞。不過，cold turkey, 可不是冷火雞的意思，而是指突然停止某些已經成癮的壞習慣。

"He quit heavy drinking cold turkey,"

他沒靠任何幫助，斷然戒掉了酗酒的惡習。




"My friend Jack quit smoking cold turkey two years ago,"

我朋友Jack兩年前說戒就毅然決然地戒了煙。

"After losing his house, he quit gambling cold turkey,"

把房子輸掉後，他一狠心，斷然戒掉了愛賭博的毛病。
