Individually the words are pronounced almost perfectly. But the last 2 sentences do not come out naturally. The reading of the 1st part of the 2nd last sentence, "They need never know lonely hours so long as they have books around them", sounds very unnatural and the problem seems to be a lack of intonation. For the last sentence, the pause between "mental" and "food" is a little too long.
I have no doubt the reader's oral English is outstanding, but reading complex sentences without preparation can be very challenging.
