There are, so I heard, three words for love in Greek: Eros, phileo, and agape.
The first refers to sexual love and a derived English word is erotic.
Phileo means affection; think about Philadelphia.
Agape is the Godly--the love toward someone even if he/she is not lovable--the kind referred to as in ``Love Thy Enemy.''
Learning English is so much fun. Don't you agree?
Have a good weekend.
Three kinds of loves.
