Perfect stranger (plural perfect strangers) A person with whom one has no affiliation whatsoever.
A “stranger” is someone with whom you are unacquainted. A “perfect stranger” is a person who is completely unknown to you.
A person who you have never met or seen before in your entire life, a person who you have never known before and who has never known you before, and is not, and never was in any way, related to you.
I first heard this term thanks to my country music hobby from the song ' not ready to make nice'
by Dixie Chicks, in this line:
" It's a sad, sad story When a mother will teach her daughter That she ought to hate a perfect stranger"
The background of this song was after the Chicks was boycotted by the whole country due to their criticism to president Geroge W. Bush's invasion to Saddam Hossein's Iraq in their London tour. Three years later the Chicks made this song to express their attitude: not ready to back down. The consequence of this conflict is the end of Dixie Chicks band's career.
