天下隻有兩種人。比如一串葡萄到手，一種人挑最好的先吃，另一種人把最好的留到最後吃。照例第一種人應該樂觀，因為他每吃一顆都是吃剩的葡萄裏最好的；第二種人應該悲觀，因為他每吃一顆都是吃剩的葡萄裏最壞的。不過事實卻適得其反，緣故是第二種人還有希望，第一種人隻有回憶。

There are only two kinds of people in the world. If given a bunch of grapes, for example, the first kind would begin with the best grapes, while the second would leave the best for last. Supposedly, the first group would be optimistic since every bite has been the best in the bunch. The second group would be pessimists as every piece they eat has been the worst of the pile. It turns out, however, the contrary is true, the reason being that the second kind would always have hope while the first would only be left with memories.
