感情真摯，還有滴答老師的深情朗讀好感人啊。

試理解一下結構：

The Poet saw an old man talking to himself:

It got to be real because we sang songs of the morning, afternoon...together .

It didn't feel real that a beautiful lady (wife) could marry an unworthy me.

It was real because we had all those wonderful moments together.

Farewell, my love! You have parted me for 30 years.

除了第一段以外都應該是詩人聽到的老人的內心獨白，問題是，寫到後麵不像這種關係了。

“I found myself pondering while wandering,
Not knowing where I was going.
From my lips silent and shivering:
Farewell, my love, my honey!
Adieu, adieu, my dear, my sweetie!"

老人獨白不會說I found...或者from my lips silent and shivering,從詩人的角度也不可能看到老人的心理活動I found，建議這段改為：

I am pondering while wandering,
Not knowing where I am going. 
Farewell, my love, my honey!
Adieu, adieu, my dear, my sweetie!

Now it has been 30 years.

另外，第一段的hand hand on a stool,"stool"可以考慮換掉，unpleasant association,stool can mean poop,見“stool specimen”。
