中國疾病預防控製中心(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)慢病中心常務副主任王臨虹說，中國正在努力應對人口城市化和老齡化問題，並且深受慢性病困擾。她說，中央政府部門采取的進一步措施應包括普及常識、增加醫生培訓、方便民眾定期檢查等。
