迄今為止，中國建設世界一流航空業的目標尚未取得多少實際成效，但這並不是由於缺乏努力：中國正斥巨資研發新機型和建設航空基礎設施，計劃到2015年建設70座新機場，還有商用噴氣式飛機C919，意欲和波音（Boeing）及空中客車（Airbus）的暢銷機型相抗衡。
Until now, China's goal of building a world-class aviation industry has yet not achieved any substantial success, but this is not the result of lack-of-effort: China is spending huge amounts of money on developing new airplanes and constructing new aviation infrastructures, it plans to build 70 airports by 2015 as well as produce its own commercial jet C919 in order to compete with Boeing and Airbus.
