Believe it or not, I read those books myself and really enjoyed reading them. I tried to make my sons read those books, but it seems that they did not like them very much. I guess that they can’t relate to the lives and stories in the books, and they are more into the books like “Harry Potter” or “Diary of a Wimpy Kid", et al. It is pretty sad, and I wish that children nowadays read more classical children’s books like Laura Wilder's series.
