I would say even the orginal english text can be re-worded to make it sound more smooth.
Per Food and Agricultural Organization's report, in developing countries, women makes up 40% of its agriculture labor force, however, only 10% - 20% of them own the land they farm, and to buy better seeds and fertilizer, they found it even more difficult to get credit compared to their male counterpart.
