緊急求助：speeding ticket in CA

今天被加州的cop 發了4年多來的第一張罰單，speeding ticket. 事情經過如下，急需幫助，向好心有經驗的人請教。本人在今天8:30有課。在距離學校不到2miles, 通常8：10am 左右在我上班的路上（local）總有traffic。但是今天早上車輛明顯比較少。因為快到學校，我的車速明顯減慢，就在這時，我聽到警車聲，並從車後鏡看到警車，因為馬上需要左拐，所以在紅燈變成綠箭頭之後在路肩停下，等待警察，我當時並不知道自己究竟出了什麽問題。警察下車到我的車前，告訴我speeding.
I asked:”what’s wrong with me?”
He said:” You were speeding”
I asked:”where?
He said:”at the cedar and bullard，you drove 55mi while the maximum is 40mi and there were two cars behind of you.”

然後，他給我”notice of appear”，上麵沒寫fine amount. 我問”how much is fine?”
他說三個星期內你會收到一封信，裏麵會有fine amount. 並告訴我，”you sign this notice does not mean you are guilty, it only means that you promise to appear at the court at specified time.”
我現在有以下背景介紹一下，希望有經驗的好心人幫忙應如何appeal this case.
1． 我的driving record in the past four years were very good, no traffic ticket
2． 我沒有把握到底有沒有speeding?我的確沒有低頭看odometer. 即使是speeding, 我也不清楚有沒有真到55mi/hour? 對此我應如何對打?
3． 我非常確信他說我speeding 的地點是在at the cedar and bullard，但是在notice of appear 上他寫的是”at the cedar and Escalon”. Bullard is 0.2 miles ahead of Escalon along the cedar street on my way to work (cedar is north-south, and both Escalon and bullard are west-east and they are parallel). 我可以用這一點在法庭上來反駁他嗎？

4． 我是在過了bullard 之後至少0.3mile 時才注意到警車跟蹤我，盡管警察可能認為我是在發現他之後才減速, 我非常確信在我意識到警車跟蹤我之前已經主動減速, (因為快到學校需要左轉的地方)。
5． 所以如果按照”notice to appear”, 我speeding 的地方是Escalon, 從Escalon 到我意識到警車要我pull over， 已經有至少0.5mi.
6． 當天稍微有些陰天，但能見度應當所還很好。
7. 這條路two lanes, 我當時在左lane,但由於在local部分快車慢車道，我確定我並沒有超車，可能一開始就有兩輛車在右車道一直跟在我後麵。我可否以此佐證我沒有超車，而且我隻是follow車流？
